Hispania Spanish Education Centre — Hong Kong's EDB-Registered Spanish School

The educational arm of the Spanish Cultural Association of Hong Kong.

The educational arm of the Spanish Cultural Association of Hong Kong.

Hispania Spanish Education Centre is officially registered with the Hong Kong Education Bureau (EDB) under school number 623008. We are the licensed school through which the Spanish Cultural Association of Hong Kong delivers every Spanish course — for adults, teens, kids, and preschoolers, including HKDSE, IB, IGCSE and DELE exam preparation.

Our mission is both simple and passionate: to spread the vibrant Spanish culture, teach this beautiful language, and share the rich, diverse history of Spanish-speaking countries right here in Hong Kong. Whether you are looking to learn Spanish for personal enrichment, academic excellence, or career advancement, Hispania Spanish Education centre provides an immersive, high-quality, and authentic educational environment tailored to your goals.

Three official EDB school registrations

The EDB licenses schools by teaching session. Hispania holds three separate registrations, so that every hour of our teaching day operates under the Hong Kong government's regulatory framework:

Each registration is a separate review and approval by the Hong Kong government, covering the suitability of our premises in Tsim Sha Tsui, the qualifications of our teaching staff, and our governance. You can verify every registration directly on the EDB's public school search.

What this means for students and parents

Choosing an EDB-registered Spanish school in Hong Kong means choosing a school that:

  • Operates under Hong Kong law, accountable to the Hong Kong Education Bureau.

  • Has had its premises inspected and approved by the EDB.

  • Has had its teaching staff and governance vetted under Hong Kong's statutory standards.

  • Is searchable on the EDB's public register — anyone can verify the school's status independently.

EDB registration is the legal foundation for operating a school in Hong Kong. Foreign accreditations from cultural or pedagogical bodies based outside Hong Kong can be a useful additional signal, but they are voluntary and they do not replace local government registration. Hispania is registered locally, and three times over.

Comprehensive Spanish Courses for All Ages

We offer a wide array of structured Spanish courses tailored for different age groups and proficiency levels.

Our early childhood program introduces the Spanish language through an engaging blend of sensory play, music, and child-friendly activities. Little ones learn to recognize basic vocabulary, count, and greet others through games, songs, and building blocks. Our native teachers focus on creating a safe, motivating, and fun environment that sparks early curiosity and builds foundational linguistic confidence.

This dynamic program focuses on developing robust communication skills, solid grammar foundations, and a deeper cultural awareness. We support teenagers in building comprehensive proficiency across reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Furthermore, our experienced educators provide specialized, rigorous preparation for critical high school language exams, including DELE/HKDSEIGCSE and IB Spanish, ensuring students achieve flying colors and secure their academic futures.

As children grow, our curriculum balances interactive fun with an increasing academic structure. Students in this age group learn to describe their daily routines, expand their vocabulary, and build basic reading and writing skills. Through role-play, interactive games, and creative projects, our native instructors foster an immersive environment where kids naturally develop their conversational abilities and a genuine love for the language.

Following the internationally recognized Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and utilizing the official ELE Actual series, our adult courses cater to everyone from complete beginners to advanced speakers.

  • A1 Beginner: Focuses on everyday survival Spanish and basic interactions.

  • B1/B2 Intermediate: Develops independent communication and professional fluency.

  • C1 Advanced: Achieves highly fluent, professional, and academic proficiency.

🔑  Frequently asked questions

01.

Is Hispania Spanish Education Centre registered with the Hong Kong government?

Yes. Hispania is officially registered with the Hong Kong Education Bureau (EDB) under school number 623008. We hold three separate school registrations covering morning, afternoon, and evening sessions.

02.

How is Hispania related to the Spanish Cultural Association of Hong Kong?

The Spanish Cultural Association of Hong Kong is the parent organisation. Hispania Spanish Education Centre is its EDB-registered educational arm — the licensed school through which we deliver every course. Both share the same teachers, the same premises, and the same management.

03.

Why does Hispania have three EDB registrations instead of one?

The Hong Kong Education Bureau registers schools by teaching session. We hold a separate registration for morning, afternoon, and evening classes so that every hour of our teaching day is covered by the EDB's regulatory framework. Each registration was a separate review by the Hong Kong government.

04.

What's the difference between EDB registration and a foreign accreditation?

EDB registration is the legal authorisation, granted by the Hong Kong government, to operate a school in Hong Kong. It is mandatory and verifies that our premises, teaching staff, and governance meet Hong Kong's statutory standards. A foreign accreditation is voluntary recognition by a body based outside Hong Kong; it can be a useful additional signal but does not replace, and is not equivalent to, registration with the local government authority.

05.

Can I visit before enrolling?

Yes. We welcome trial classes and on-site visits. Contact us to arrange a visit to our Tsim Sha Tsui campus.
